Two dealers are leaning into the season. Eastern Propane & Oil is running its 11th annual Runaway Pumpkin 10K and 5K, and Fallbrook Propane Gas Company is sponsoring a "Hello Autumn!" art competition through the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce at 111 South Main Avenue.
Fallbrook is putting up real money: $300, $200, and $100 for first through third in the two- and three-dimensional categories, $150, $125, and $100 in photography, plus a $75 Chamber Pick. Eleven years of a branded pumpkin run is a dealer that understands its customers are neighbors first.
