This policy explains what personal data Fuel Data Portal collects, why, and what we do with it. In short: the only personal data we collect is what you give us when you subscribe to our newsletter, we use it only to send you that newsletter, and we never sell or share it.

What we collect

If you subscribe, we store:

• your email address;
• your sector and frequency choices (which digests you want, and how often);
• the date, and the IP address you signed up from, kept only for abuse prevention;
• whether you have confirmed your subscription, and whether you have unsubscribed.

Browsing the site does not require an account and does not ask for personal information. We do not use advertising trackers or sell any browsing data.

Why we have it, and the only thing we use it for

You gave us your address to receive the newsletter. That consent is the only legal basis on which we email you, and sending you the newsletter you asked for is the only thing we use your address for.

Double opt-in

After you sign up we email you a confirmation link. You are not added to any list until you click it. If you never click it, you never hear from us again, and the pending record is discarded.

What we send

The weekly digest, and the daily update only if you turn it on. You choose your sectors and your frequency, and you can change them at any time from the "manage preferences" link in any email.

Unsubscribe anytime

Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link (and supports one-click unsubscribe in your mail app's header) plus a "manage preferences" link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and permanently. You can also email [email protected] and we will remove you.

We never sell or share it

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your address with anyone, and we do not use it for advertising. Email delivery is handled by Amazon SES purely as our sending provider; they process your address only to deliver our mail and under their own terms. We use no other third-party processor for your subscription data.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Unsubscribed addresses are kept only as a suppression record, so our system knows never to email you again.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you may request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to its use, or withdraw your consent at any time (unsubscribing does this). Email [email protected] and we will act on it. The data controller is FuelDataPortal.com.

US law (CAN-SPAM)

Our emails identify who they are from, carry a valid physical postal address, are sent only to people who asked for them, and honor unsubscribe requests promptly.

Children

The site and newsletter are intended for a business and professional audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
