Nepal's parliament pushes electric cooking over imported LP gas

Nepal's House of Representatives urged the government to promote electric cooking stoves as a substitute for imported LP gas.

Lawmaker Shreeram Neupane pointed to pollution and the cost of importing the fuel. Dhan Bahadur Budha raised monsoon road disruptions in Dolpa that cut off supply.

The debate is about Nepal's own household cooking fuel and carries no read-through to US propane demand or price.
